What Is It?

Cheap Crossing is a future web-series that will consist of 3 hosts travelling from St. Johns, Newfoundland, to Vancouver, British Columbia. That's right, a road-trip from coast-to-coast, across Canada.

Now yes, people have done that road trip before, so what makes this one more interesting? Each person will have to avoid the highway as much as possible, and make the entire trip in a car they bought for $1000 or less.

We wanted to honour a certain car show, and do it in the best way we could think of. It's a group of friends, driving across the 2nd largest country in really cheap cars. There will be good days, there will be funny days, and there will most likely be days where everything (in terms of the cars) falls apart. It will be properly funny, and properly interesting to see what happens.

The entire journey will be filmed, and be split up into weekly episodes, which will be shared online for your viewing pleasure. We figured, in the words of one of our inspirations for this challenge, how hard can it be? What could possibly go wrong with driving across Canada in a car that we got for $1000 or less?

Why Do You Need My Help? How Can I Help?

You see, the cars might be cheap, but production costs are not. When you work in the cost of all of the camera's, storage for the footage, and more, it adds up fairly fast. So, this is where we are coming to ask for your help!

Currently, it is still in the planning stages, but with enough funding, we are able to begin filming next year. We will be launching an Indiegogo campaign before filming takes place to (hopefully) raise the majority of the funds we need, but if you want to help fast-track this to an even sooner date, donate as much as you can by clicking the button below.

Every little bit counts, and every single donation is appreciated beyond belief. Your donation will lead to our expertise will lead to your screen to watch. 100% of the donations will go towards funding this show, and making it happen.
